Hey Janice people have the same experience of initial weight gain (what you called "getting fat") on 100% raw too.  It is not a raw til 4 or starch issue.  Initial weight gain is common for anyone who under ate previously whether they are doing 100% raw or rawtil4.

I was wondering Freelee do you know about aspartame I quit using it since I started this diet about a month & half ago. I noticed I've been really down in the dumps I couldn't figure it out I don't have anything to feel depressed about so the feeling is so confusing.Then after a month and half I bought a diet coke & I felt great after the blues went away then the very next day I feel funky again.It must mess with something ?

I didn't say tons of weight Sweetivore I said tons of cooked starch. Hey...like I said, to each his own! Obviously I am in agreement with most of what is going on here, else I wouldn't be here. Love all your posts...so thanks everyone!!

Janice, most gain weight due to their body adjusting to the volume of food, healing their bodies from under eating. Raw Til 4 helps with weight loss or for maintaining weight. I've lost weight and sometimes my weight stabilizes and I've been eating Raw Til Whenever for 2 months by eating lots of potatoes, beans, fruit, veggies. A lot of people on this forum have had a past of calorie restriction. Yes "to each their own" works, and I think Freelee reads the posts on here. Just adding my 2 cents

I don't think you hate to tell her that. I don't call gaining a few pounds tons of weight .If people follow it properly they will start to lose weight.You should check out duriander video where he gains 17 pounds in a day by eating & drinking water. Weight fluctuates & that is what he was showing people so we don't get so neurotic over it . Encouragement is what people are here for and need

Hate to tell you, maybe you aren't reading posts on your site, but people on this site are getting fat eating tons of cooked vegan starch.  To each his own.

I agree with you freelee I upped my calories by 1500 all fruits & veg I gained 5 pounds but if I had added those calories in meat or dairy or junk whatever I would have gained 15 pounds in that month and a half ! I'm not going to worry about the tight panties or jeans right now I have hope honey! You inspire me keep it up you & that cool man of yours
