MIchelle, thank you for sharing. Some vegan say this diet helps to get a clearer mind, I guess that way we get an easier access to what we are. so more conscious of what we live. I have been also experiencing some bliss moments lately. This is pretty new for me too, and I did not relate it especially to diet, since a lot of things are happening in my life. Nevertheless, I believe the cleaner diet helps us, our inner being to be freed of all the trash usually processed by the body, hence we are more ourselves, and allow space for our heart, and the bliss. Isn't that our earthly body is also called the temple of our souls. Let us keep on the good temple keeping and experience the light of life. Peace
After 1.5 years of 80/10/10, I have to agree with EVERYTHING you say!
I too rebound! For me, it's atleast 5 X week for 20 minutes w/light wrist weights on (jumping jacks, russian kicks, dancing, jumping really high, etc.), then I do 2 sets of Sun Salutations, then every other day, bicep and tricep curls with light weights, some meditation, prayer time, ..................along with a little snowshoeing in winter...this is ALL I do in the winter...but i have active job where i'm hardly sitting down.............in the summer, same thing..only rebounding outside in the sunshine, plus the rest, plus maybe 45 minute walk with dog....................enough activity to keep me feeling vibrant and hungry for the necessary calorie.
HOwever, I have a passion for vegan cooking for my teen daughter. I'm in the kitchen cooking all the time. I veganize comfort foods that a teen would want to eat. I just have to know how I will feel if I eat cooked (I get very sick at this point when I eat cooked) and KNOW the amazing benefits of eating this way--for me NOT to eat cooked OR high fat raw gourmet. I'm very strict with my diet because I don't want to be laid up for a day recovering from eating something my bod will reject. I'm going to Honduras for a 6 day volunteer trip and although I pay for the cooked meals, I will instead have to buy all my food the first day at a grocery store. Hoping there is plenty of produce...as I wouldn't have any ripe nanners to fall back on...............plan to bring plenty of dates.

That is great news, Zesty Lime! It sounds like you got some really delicious delicacies at the store yesterday. If you still find yourself getting hungry, I find that eating a lot of dates and banana smoothies really help curb the hunger. So does a big salad. Let me know how it goes for you!

I really appreciate your feedback. It feels good to know I'm helping to inspired others. It really is a light way of being. And so simple too, in so many ways. Not to say there are not difficulties but I think just by having your eye on the prize, it makes it a lot easier. My roommate was heating up some tortilla chips in the toaster oven about an hour ago. SItting here at my desk, working, I smelled them and got really hungry. They smelled so good and for a minute I forgot about everything in my life and could only think of having tortilla chips. Then I thought, no I'll make myself some energy soup with romaine, tomatoes, cilantro, scallions lemon and water. Drinking that now and feeling great! No need for tortilla chips :)
