Hello Amy, I just stumbled upon your posts and wondered how you're doing now, if you're still following the diet. Hope you're well.
My sister has type 1 diabetes and I would love to know about a success story. I don't think she'll ever change her diet of sweets, wine and fatty foods, but it would be nice to know that there is another way to get at least more healthy despite the diabetes. She had a stroke few years ago (at 46 years old) and lost a lot of the ability to use her left hand. I believe with exercising and diet she would be feeling much better. I don't give her any advice, because I want to keep a good relation with her, but referring to a success story I know she probably would find interesting. My sister is afraid to change anything in her foods, because she's pretty stable with the shots, but she doesn't believe the bad foods can do her more harm in time....
I find you very courageous to give 811 a try.
All the best wishes :) Sita
