Darrick, good info on the difference between tree-ripened durian and the stuff that was cut too early. I'll keep it in mind for my inevitable pilgrimage to the fruit and surf mecca!

arancillo is an amazing variety of durian...you must try it Phil!
not a village....although that may be worth searching for...'a arancilo village full of trees"

Where are the Durian Stands, with Jo-Jo?

Map here.

Okay, thanks.

'Arancillo' and 'Native'.

The variety is 'Arancillo', as you can also see here if you click here, not Arrintio.

But you did say "...at Arrintio...", so did you think that Arrintio/Arancillo was a village?

And the durian variety that sounds like Maydeev, is just the Philippine 'Native' seedling.

At 3:00 minutes, you say "...at Arrintio, they let the durian drop naturally..."?
Is 'Arrintio' a place in the Philippines?

At :12 seconds, and again at :32 seconds, do you say the variety of Durian is 'Maydeev' or 'Nathan' or '
Naysif' or 'Big Nathan'?
Or is it called 'Mamer'?

How do you compare the 'organic' status of the Philippine durian with the Malaysian durian?

What is the annual price range for Davao durian?
Is it priced from a high/peak-season lowest price of 25 pesos/kg up to 60 pesos/kg for the low-season?

At 6:23 seconds, the stall-holder reaches for the green plastic bag, to hold the Marang.
Why didn't you refuse the bag.

At 7:22, it's good to see she has a 'NON-SMOKING ESTABLISHMENT' sign hanging up.

The Filipinos are all relaxed and friendly.

Dried durian, instead of 'Durian candy' made by 'Jo-jo'.
Could jo-jo make dried durian and would it have enough sweetness and taste?
