What is the best way to store mushrooms?

I tried to google the best way but there seems to be so much conflict. Some suggest paper bags, or plastic, some suggest wrapping in paper towel and others don't. What do you find works best?Continue

I was always very skinny until I had my daughter, it has been almost 5 years since her birth and I am still 30 pounds heavier than when I started. I also have had health issues start to creep up, I am only 22!

Since my early teenage years I have struggled with exhaustion, waking up tired and feeling that way ALL day. I have for as long as I remember had an issues with my bladder and candida. Which have seriously improved.

I don't really remember how I stumbled across the High Carb Low Fat Raw Vegan Lifestyle. I started watching videos on YouTube by freelee, durianrider, rawkristina, and many other raw vegans. At first I thought these people are crazy and this is extreme. But something made me keep watching and wanting to learn more. I decided to read the 80/10/10 book and kept watching more and more videos.

Suddenly things didn't seem so crazy anymore. It seemed logical. At first I thought I would just try to eat a diet similar to theirs, I didn't think I would be able to let go of salmon sushi and feta cheese. The whole thing seemed overwhelming still and slightly unrealistic. I had been trying to eat a vegan diet but was including an avocado/oil/tahini dressing. I then realized I was eating way too much fat! This kind of discouraged me. (I am not a fan of really sweet things. I balance this by eating more sour fruit, green apples, raspberries etc in my smoothies. It helps tone down the sweet bananas.) I still kept trying but not being able to imagine staying completely raw long term. I felt like I had failed. I didn't realize it wasn't a all or nothing deal. I then came across rice and raw on youtube and realized I could eat starches! Which is great for me because I LOVE them. Pasta being my all time favorite. I then located some low fat vegan dressings and have been doing great.

I am currently living the raw til 4 lifestyle. Only just a beginner but I feel like this is going to work. I don't doubt this like I have with any other dietary advice. I would normally not see results and give up within a month. I did a Fitness/Body improvement challenge with my school. 8 weeks. You come in week 1, 4 and 8 for some testing and measurements. The first 4 weeks I didn't really change anything and had just discovered the raw vegan lifestyle. I had gained weight and body fat. At 4 weeks I was at 141 pounds with 26% body fat :/ The next four weeks I had started my raw til 4 commitment. With no exercise I dropped to 136 pounds and 22% body fat. My heart rate had also improved significantly from the first round of testing. I am just starting this journey but I am confident this is going to get the results I want(health and weight) and I would like to be able to connect with others going through the same experience. I have been watching durianrider's "What I ate Today" videos and I love them. It's really great to see someone really care about helping others and willing to commit so much time to do so.

My favourite books/movies/authors/pastimes are....
I try not to read as much anymore because when I start I HAVE to finish it. I will spend a whole day reading. Since I am in school now I will not do my homework because I will be too busy reading! The last book I read was The 80/10/10 Diet by Douglas N Graham.. man did my school works suffer that week!

I love movies I prefer comedy and Disney above all! No scary movies :( I wont sleep right for days :o

I enjoy arts and crafts and I really want to find a more active hobby :)

I want to be able to interact with others and hear about their experiences. I think I need to adjust to the High Carb Vegan Lifestyle first before I can convert to totally raw. I also really need to work on fitness. I need to find ways to fit thing into my life and schedule when I can't go to the gym or really even for a run for that matter. I am a single mother I can't leave the little one at home alone and I cannot afford a babysitter :( Single Mother Student Life lol
