Most of my life I've struggled with not only my weight but also my physical capability. I come from a very large family with very large appetites and I was always made to feel guilty if I didn't "eat enough" or finish my plate (which was always massive proportions. High fat, highly processed, high refined sugars was my diet. Sure, we had loads of fruit & veg but it was always covered in butter or came with a dip. By 17 I was about 200lbs. Shortly after, I started dating someone who was vegetarian/pescatarian and was always making delicious meals. After I switched to being vegetarian I gained MORE weight because i thought it was "healthier" to eat cheese based meals, so I ate more of them. After a couple years of going to the gym obsessively and eating half the portions of my partner (and starving), I lost about 20lbs, but was still well overweight for my height. At 5'8, I always wanted to be 135lbs. No more, no less. I didn't even want to be particularly toned, I just wanted to be thinner! When we broke up, I was emotionally vulnerable and I took up a bunch of self-destructive habits, like booze, promiscuity, and above else, a binge-purge cycle. Of course, I lost some weight - a whole 25 lbs in just a couple months, but I still wasn't lean, and I was far from healthy. I was tired all the time, I was weak, I couldn't focus at work, and I was always STARVING. I turned to veganism shortly after, but because I didn't really care about my health, and my binge-purge cycles were now a part of every day life, I figured I could get away with being a junk-food vegan. Oreos are cruelty free, right? Doritos sweet-chili-heat, here I come! Of course, my weight fluxuated again, I gained 10 lbs and it terrified me. I began to not eat, and when I did break and binge, I'd purge everything almost immediately. I'd "lose" ten lbs in under a week, and put it back on in two days. Soon after I met my current partner, while I was still vegan, and I often received criticsm from him. He came from a large Irish family, so "healthy" for him was big portions of meat, big portions of potatoes with butter, and smushed peas (and butter) for a green. He started eating terribly around me, ordering pizza and burgers and high-fat-salt-ridden foods and I eventually fell off the wagon. I never touched a scrap of flesh, but I became addicted to cheese again. I controlled my weight for two years by purging immediately, trying my best to hide it, though it only worked about half of the time. This is when I found 30baD. I watched a couple of Freelee's videos and she said a LOT of things I fundamentally agree with, and she made this lifestyle look easy and looked great doing it. Unlimited calories? I love food! All the bananas I want? They're my favourite! Kiwis and strawberries and oranges and grapes and rice and best of all, no cooking?! There's no way this is real. There's no way I could get lean by eating only fruit. I looked around youtube for a few more videos and saw amazing results from all corners of the world, so I decided to give it a try. The first two days were awful- I had a headache, all I wanted was salty fries, and I felt so hungry. I wasn't used to putting a lot in my belly so sitting through a meal of only three bananas felt like ages. A meal hadn't taken me so long in years. I even "gained" 5 lbs. Of course this was horseshit, how could I be fooled by yet another youtube video? I decided to finish off my fruit at least - give this "diet" a week before ditching it and besmirching its name.

But at the end of that week, after saying "fuck it" and just pigging out on rice and veg and bananas and vegan pasta for just one week, I weighed myself again. I lost the weight I had initially put on - plus three extra pounds! How was that possible? I had binged all week and didn't purge once! I'm still craving salt and fat but this one week has been amazing, so now I'm looking for like-minded people to help me maintain this lifestyle and teach me how to eat. <3

Quitting cravings and actually eating enough! My first day of fruitmunching I only crushed 898 calories, and I felt like I was eating all day long.
