Hi there! My name is Kirti. I'm a vegan located in the SF Bay Area. I come from a background of eating disorders, calorie restriction, & the whole "carbs make you fat" mentality. I discovered Freelee via Annie Jaffrey & it's changed my life! I've decided to commit to the lifestyle, but I simply haven't started yet. Why? Firstly, I'm doing all of my research (mainly by watching other Banana Girls on Youtube!) because I don't have anyone to support me in this, not even in my vegan lifestyle. So, I want to be knowledgeable since I'm going to get a lot of hate for choosing this lifestyle. Also, I want to make sure I do it right so I'm making sure I have everything covered! Secondly, I'm making changes in my life all around. New job, new schedule, new sleep patterns, etc. I want my body to get used to these changes before I implement more. In the meantime, I've cut out alcohol & am cutting out caffeine. Also, I'm still looking at different markets in my area to see where I can get the best local, organic produce. So when do I plan to start? September 1st! So excited! Why am I choosing this lifestyle? I was recently diagnosed with a few health problems (which I will be discussing more in detail in an upcoming Youtube video) & there are no cures, just supportive therapy, meaning prescriptions. Losing weight & getting healthy will ease the symptoms & make it easier to live my life. A bit more about me, I suppose. I work in the educational field & also blog during the week & post weekly videos on Youtube. I basically just share my lifestyle & will be sharing my transition to this lifestyle as well. I know this is the best lifestyle for me, based on all of my research & I'm super excited to see what it does for me!

I'm pretty solid in my research, but it would be nice to know how I can "build up" to the 2500 calorie mark? I'm used to calorie restriction & as a result I can't eat much per meal, but I get hungry quickly. The thought of downing a 10 banana smoothie is a bit intimidating. How can I transition to a higher calorie diet?
