Hi All, Sometimes my banana smoothies taste a bit acidic in a not so pleasant way and even burn a bit going down (not too bad) This particular box of bananas has turned spotty really fast but the…Continue

Sugar highs with no significant crash.... or is this just normal vitality?

So, I know a high fat diet can lead to sugar highs and lows. I've been low fat for about 3-4 months and I still get SUPER HYPER with a high fruit meal. I definitely come down from it, but I don't…Continue

Hi, I'm new to the 80/10/10 lifestyle and am looking for support. I have over 100 lbs to lose and am burning fat like a machine so far. I started this journey for weight loss and have since discovered that I am absolutely passionate about fruit. You mentioned in the welcome that 30bad is for people who are convinced that this lifestyle is the way to go. I'll admit that I have questions and at times I veer toward skepticism... but my aim is not to "de-bunk" this lifestyle. My aim is to learn about it. So, I can't promise that I won't ask QUESTIONS. But I can promise that I won't give advice against your principles or debate them. I don't really understand why anyone who is against a high-fruit lfrv diet would want to be a part of this site. Who wants to sit around arguing all day? If I ever changed my mind about this lifestyle I would just stop coming to the site. In the meantime, I'd be happy to be a part of the discussion in a positive way.

My favourite books/movies/authors/pastimes are....
I'm pretty nerdy and love most books, movies, and pastimes that fit in that category. I also love music, and theater... both as a spectator and a performer.

Being able to defend this lifestyle to the "naysayers"
Being able to differentiate between fact and fiction when it comes to the science. I'm too easily swayed one way or the other. What you say makes total sense to me... but then I read or listen to people on the other side of the argument and what they say makes sense too. So I'm confused. HCRV makes me feel super good though... so I'm going with that unless I can be convinced otherwise.
30bad is a fruit-focused vegan internet community which promotes a high carb fruit based vegan lifestyle free of any animal products. Hi,

Welcome aboard! :)

You can check out the Banana Welcome Wagon at:

http://www.30bananasaday.com/profiles/blogs/30bad-banana-wagon-tour

To get started. Be sure to note food, calorie, water, sleep recommendations and log (can use www.cronometer.com or similar)  your food/drink intake, at least for the first few months to get used to what you need to eat to stay on target calorie wise as well as macronutrient (carbs:fat:protein) wise. Even if someone is a long time, established, raw vegan, it is possible to discover some things using "hard-data"; spot trends, be able to make good adjustments, that might not be possible otherwise.

Enjoy!
