Hi I'm Zachary, sorry but this might be long. Back in February of 2010 i hit 250 at 28% bodyfat and I was in shock and told myself i needed to change. So I talked to a trainer and he set me up with a high protein low carb and moderate fat meal plan. Which was working real good for me. Today I'm 195 at around 12.8% bodyfat. My sister is a vegan and she has been trying to get me to go vegan for years, and I kept telling her I won't get enough protein and I'll get too many carbs and blow up like a balloon. Well after watching forks over knives and reading some material and talking to some people I realized how bad animal protein is for you. Cancer runs in my family and if going on a fruit/plant based diet/lifestyle will prevent and in some cases reverse this I'm all game. I mean i love my fruits and I thank my parents now for making me try all my veggies when I was younger because I don't think there is one vegetable I won't eat. Again I'm sorry if this is becoming a novel. So anyways I decided at the beginning of this month which is September 2011 that I am gonna go vegan. Started doing some searching and I ordered The 80-10-10 Diet by Dr. Doug Graham which wasn't easy seeing how everywhere I looked it was on backorder, and am waiting for that to come in so I can soon start a raw vegan lifestyle. Thats where I was hoping this site could help me set up a meal plan or even give me tips on what to eat before the book comes in so I can start this lifestyle sooner then planned. I hope this is some good information and I meet the standards. My friend on facebook just added me to the group Vegan Super Fitness Group on facebook and they have been nothing but helpful, and actually saw this website through a video posted on there about a girl who was 160 and started to eat 97% fruits and 3% nuts and vegetables and is now 115 and eats huge amounts of fruit daily. So sorry again for the novel but I hope you like what you're reading.

I haven't yet made the change to a raw vegan but i was hoping this group could help me with making the change and also help in setting up some meal plans. I want to cut fat and add some lean mass but after I've been taught to eat protein on top of protein and after watching some movies and doing some reading realized I'm gonna end up killing myself that way. So I was hoping this group could help me change my ways so I can then help out other people to.
