Our community would be delighted to know you better. Please tell us more about yourself and what brought you to 30BaD. My name is Wendy. I was formerly a dietetics student at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. At the junior level, I had to quit because the career path was not right for me and because what they were teaching was just not correct (examples: pro-GMO, add fluoride tablets to kids water, include processed grains in addition to whole grains, vegan is not a great idea and if you choose it you will need B12+iron supplements, extra protein, extra fat, etc). When I finally bought my own copy of Dr. Graham's 811, it was such a relief because it clarified any misconceptions I had. I've been vegan for 7 years now and it has been a great experience. I am now at the point where I eat low fat mostly-raw vegan here in hawaii. Now that I am no longer a university student, I have chosen the path of massage therapy. I've also been a lifelong gardener. My three passions are: 811rv nutrition, massage/bodywork/exercise, and permaculture gardening.

Today, I'm starting this. It's not a crazy step. I've been eating vegan for 7 years and I'm in pretty good shape and at a normal weight (22yrs/5'2"/110lbs).

Thanks to a fairly low fat, low protein diet (25% or less), I haven't had any health issues. I've still kept soy, coffee, salt, condiments, cooked vegan foods and a bit of alcohol in my diet. Why? The comfort factor.. .and addiction. My fiance did some research and it looks like high salt consumption is as hard to shake off as…
