I will start on this +90% fruit lifestyle soon. My main confusion is how is it possible to not get fat on +3000 kcal per day? I understand that DurianRider is lean as hell! This flies in the face of…Continue
"Thanks for the reply! I'll keep my eyes peeled.
The Black Sphinx dates are a little pricey ($11.25) , but I might buy a pound in the fall when they come into season just to try them out. :D
I've been buying dates by the 2 lb bucket at…"
"I think DR and FL have said that Australian produce is crap and expensive to boot, plus they're afraid of getting too lean on just the fruits.
For me, the cooked starches versus 100% raw is still open. My hunch is that the long-term health…"
"Yeah, I've been eating 10-15 dates each day for the past week. They make me thirsty, so I chug-a-lug some water. Problem solved.
Also, their sweet, stickiness make me want to brush my teeth more. I think this is fine as long as I just brush…"
"P.P.S. Guys also deal with body image issues.
In 2012, a study was released by the American Pediatrics journal that suggests six percent of middle and high schoolers have done steroids and over one-third have taken protein powders to pack on…"
"So, other than Freelee, has anyone else gotten to the OP's desired size on this diet (+3000 kcal/day of fruit)?
Picture from before the diet and after a few months on the diet would be great. If there was initial weight gain, that would…"
"One recommendation for gas is to follow Food Combination guidelines, which group similar foods together and supposedly minimize gas. I'm not sure there's much more than anecdotal evidence behind this one, but you can give it a try.
I created this group for supporting each other during transformation to raw vegan lifestyle. Also here will be given some tips how to suceed in a fruitarian diet, whats the most comon mistakes made by raw food eaters and a lot of more usefull info.See More
"Poor spelling and grammar makes it hard for me to take people seriously because it's difficult for me to read and I find it kind of obnoxious. However, I still take you seriously because we can't have a conversation otherwise.

"There's a practical aspect to it as well, which is: Don't alienate people by being a jerk.
My first introduction to raw food veganism was through some awkward, elitist-sounding people who told me being Vegan was not good enough. They…"
"The phrase, "I disagree with you, but that's okay, right?" works wonders. If they want to get into a discussion, then ask for their e-mail because "it makes it easier to piece together your thoughts and to supply scientific…"

However, I have to remind myself that regardless of my…"
"Depending on how you buy your fruits, dates can be cheaper in terms of calories per dollar. The analysis is for the US.
On Amazon, you can buy 5 lbs of dates for $25.
In bulk, you should be able to buy bananas for $0.60 / lb or…"

I've been vegan for twelve years, vegetarian for two years before that. I'm not terribly strict, but my diet is probably +95% vegan by weight throughout the year.
Since I bought a blender a year ago, I've been eating much more raw foods purely out of convenience.
After finding out about DurianRider and Freelee on YouTube, I'm curious to see what the effects of a Fruitarian diet would be on my life. Most curious is the lack of any caloric restriction. I have difficulty understanding how it makes any sense, but I'm not afraid of gaining weight for science if it doesn't pan out, so I'm eager to try it! Other than the calorie issue, I think eating mostly fruits is, in hindsight, very intuitive.
My current goals are to pack on a lot of lean muscle weight on a +3000-calorie Fruitarian diet through barbell lifting, weighted sprints, and rock climbing. I don't know if it's possible to pack on that muscle on fruit (DurianRider is awfully skinny), but I'd like to try.
My initial approach will be to go 80/10/10 and see what my gainz are after three or more months, which is more than enough time to make a lot of lifting progress. If 80/10/10 is not enough, I'll use seeds to bump up the fat and protein content.

I mostly need help figuring out the logistics of living this lifestyle:
- How to make this lifestyle affordable.
- How to store so much fruit without it going bad.
In addition, I will be asking forum members how the zero caloric restriction concept makes sense, because I simply do not understand it!
