Hi again, Tricia! Thanks for getting back to me. I found you on facebook but there was no button to push for me to send a friend request to you. I left I message for you on fb hoping it would help you find me too! Do you know how I can send a friend request to you?
Still looking and have another man in mind who is excellent with dogs, training etc. I would hate to see Bandit crated and all of my dogs chew, but I have found a great solution. I take used water bottles and put treats in them then put the top back on. All of my dogs love taking the top off then dumping out the treats. They will chew on these plastic bottles for hours and never break them. It is sort of like a squeeze box and gives them hours of fun. After destroying my house and all toys one day I thought of the water bottle. Try it with Bandit. A tp roll is nothing. One of my rabbits ate our couch. lol
There are 3 rescues here in Milwaukee looking for a permanent home for Bandit or at least a foster where he will be a family member until he can find an adoptive loving home. Am off to work and hopefully we will find a home today. When we do I will call the gal in Chicago and see about getting him here.
Haven't forgot about you and Bandit. All rescues and foster homes are filled pass capacity. There are 2 more fosters I am going to contact this evening (both are in suburbs of Chicago). Hope I can give you some good news by tomorrow.
No luck so far as rescues go, but I am on my way to the dog park where there are many uncivilized people along with their uncivilized dogs so I will post Bandits picture and ask a few to consider him. Can't imagine Bandit being bounced from state to state and shelter to shelter when he so loving and energetic.
As much as I hate CL it couldn't hurt to post him on the Chicago site. I do that at times when I can't find a home for an animal. I do a home visit, get vet references and give the family time with the animal always with the understanding if it doesn't work out they give the animal back to me. Your Lucy bear would probably come around in time. i have had many rescues whom my other animals reject and even snap at, but in time they all get along and cohabitate just fine. i am leaving now and will sing bandits praises to all who will listen to me.
