I have been steadily making changes to my life for the past 8 years or so in many areas. Simplifying my life has been the main priority by going car free and switching to cycling for both recreation and transportation.
Due to cycling I have been changing my diet to fuel my obsession and have dropped a bit over 60lbs (27kg) and am still looking to lose some more weight but even more important I am looking to be healthy.
5 years ago I was at 265lbs, sitting at a desk all day and eating fast food as a staple diet. I felt like hell and had never in my life been so inactive and unhealthy. Bought a bike off a friend and started riding. I realized quickly that fat burger was not going to fuel my re-discovered love of cycling, so I started cooking more at home, still a meat heavy diet though. Over time I have switched to a mostly vegetarian diet and dabbled in veganism but it never stuck for long due mostly to options when I go out to eat with my daughter.
So I was keeping my eyes open for diet help and what may work and one day when looking around Youtube I stumbled across Harley and his cycling videos...man I was hooked. Here was a vegan who wasn't your typical hipster pussy and he told it like it was. I subscribed almost instantly and have been watching his vids and learning how it is done. It took the mystery out of how to make this lifestyle easily sustainable.
As of now I am 2 weeks into the high carb raw vegan lifestyle and although there have admittedly been a couple slips here and there it has overall been easy to get back on track. My daughter is not interested in it, and I am ok with that as this is my decision for me, but her intake of fruits and vegetables has increased considerably as well and hopefully she joins me when she realizes it doesn't cause issues with her gluten intolerance and is rather easy to sustain.
Also working on building a YT channel as well to document and grow the open forum of discussing this lifestyle and my transformation into it.

I read a lot so my list is long I am also a bit of a movie nerd and also enjoy documentaries. The list could go for days so I will just leave it at that for now.
Cycling and playing pen and paper RPGs are probably my biggest hobbies currently.
