Dehydrator.. is it worth it?

I have been doing this lifestyle for a week or two now and I'm just loving it. I have been considering buying myself a dehydrator for a LONG time (for over a year now), but I have also just read in Dr. Doug Graham's book (The 80/10/10 Diet) that dried fruit isn't as good as we think it is. But how about dried veggies? Or partially dehydrated foods (like "sundried" tomatoes or a fullyraw lasagna that has been warmed in the dehydrator)? Would it still be a bad idea? I mean, surely it's not a…See More

Hi, I'm Natalyn Rodriguez. I'm a college student who got sick of being sick and overweight and started my road to good health this summer. I didn't hear about the raw vegan diet until about a month or two ago, when I stumbled on Fullyraw Kristina and Megan Elizabeth's Youtube videos on 80/10/10 lfrv lifestyle. I fell in love with the idea pretty quickly, and am now striving to be more raw each day. I must admit that I'm not completely raw at this point, but perhaps one day I will be - we'll see. :)

I have always loved fruit, so you can imagine my excitement when I found out that it's OK to eat a whole bunch of peaches or strawberries (etc.) for a meal.
I love veggies too though - right now, my favorite raw veggie to munch on is red cabbage.
Yes, I still have some vegan cooked favorites as well. Will I give these up? Who knows. I'm trying not to obsess about it too much.
My biggest dream right now is to run my very first half marathon. To be able to cross the finish line and look back and say "I did it" would be an amazing experience. My second biggest dream is to get my abs to show... I have never had six-pack abs before and I think it would be awesome.

If anyone is wondering what diet I follow (or aim to follow)... not really sure. I like to call myself a "healthivore" who explores different healthy lifestyles, but lately I've been so amazed with the 80/10/10 low fat raw vegan lifestyle - of all lifestyles I've ever tried, this one has made me feel the best.

Well, that's pretty much it. :)

I would just love to be a part of an online community of glowing, awesome raw vegan people. It would be nice to have online buddies to talk to when I need HCRV advice in a sticky situation (restaurant, friend's house, etc.), and I would love to help in any way I can.
