I'm a PhD student and university lecturer from Toronto. I love to travel, photography, the outdoors, and working out/running/cycling/hiking/etc. I've been vegetarian for over 10 years now, and was always very fit, but I realize now that I was not eating nearly enough calories for the super intense workouts I was doing. Every weekend I would bike 100km and during the week I would be HIIT training, running, etc. and then sometimes would do a second workout biking 35km. Over time it started to do real damage to my body, too much stress (I was a big coffee drinker too!), and I started being unable to sleep, and eventually developed thyroid issues and adrenal fatigue. After suffering with these for several months, and watching Freelee and Durianrider's videos, along with countless other instagrammers and youtubers who attest to what they are saying, I have decided that 30bad is my best hope for healing myself holistically. I am 10 days into the #BGC30. :)

I'm coming to this diet after years of doing everything wrong for my body, and really hoping it will help me to reverse my hypothyroidism and adrenal fatigue. I know Freelee has cured low thyroid function in herself, so I have faith it can work for me too.
I'm someone who is very used to a high protein diet and focused on lifting weights to build muscle tone (along with cardio/cycling). Is this still achievable on a RT4 diet? I know we don't need as much protein as we are told, but do you find it is easy to build and maintain muscle? I know Freelee is very toned, is that mainly cardio/cycling, or what is your strength routine?
