Sure, but at the quantities I drink, it "takes a room"

Need a sunny window, start small scale.  I use rubbermaid clear (well, almost clear--more like cloudy-clear) containers about 18 by 28 inches (guessing, out of state right now).  2 gallons of dirt comes not quite 1/2 way up in container,  have room for 2 containers on shelf by window, and shelf for 2 or more below.

Soak 1 quart of wheat berries overnight, next day rinse, drain, let air for 24 hours (rinse 3x during day, b4 work, after work, when ready for bed that day).  Next day spread on TOP of dirt saturated with water, cover with the "clear" cover that came with the container.  Lift and fan with cover twice a day to minimize mold growth.  When little nublets appear, put in sun.  At 4-6 inches, will be ready to harvest.  but cannot be juiced in any type of juicer or blender except a sprout press or the really slow "twin screw" expensive juicer, or the enzymes will not survive even 30 seconds.

The growth takes 10 days from dry berries to 6 inch harvest at 70-75 degrees.  4 inches tall, wheatsprouts may be too super sweet to swallow.  at 6 inches, it is wheat grass.  More sun, more chlorophyll, (darker green, more benefit).

Suggest you start with the shoebox size containers for $1 each at a dollar store, start a batch every other day, and then increase as you learn, but use less dirt, less berries.  But get a sproutpress first, or you will be wasting your time and effort.  After cutting, the powerful lifeforce is gone, harvested.  You may get a weak 2nd growth, I use it to soak my feet in if summer damaged...some use 2nd growth for facials, but beware, may turn light hair green if not careful.

Read the book by ANN WIGMORE, it's called 'The Wheatgrass Book" I think...

HI Mary, thanks for touching base, you can imagine how 80/10/10 is received by my neighbours. One lady cooks my daughter a meat meal every weekend and brings it to our house on a plate, just in case we are starving her!

My daughter loves feeding it to her cars, but don't tell my neighbour!.

Thanks for the friend add and the wonderful compliments! I love making creative meals with fruits and veggies- there are just so many delicious combinations! And they always look beautiful because they're full of so much color!

Do you have any favorite meals living this healthy lifestyle? My favorite is by far mango, tomato and lettuce :) Hope you're having a beautiful day!
