Staying LFRV in India

Started this discussion. Last reply by Eva Jul 19, 2011. 15 Replies

I am going to India in September and am wondering if it will be possible for me to stay LFRV there. I will be in Vrindavan (Mathura) mostly. Does anyone know if fruit is easily accessible? Bananas…Continue

Green poo - what does it mean?

I have never had green poo in my entire life. I just read this: "The liver constantly secretes a bright green fluid called bile into the small intestine or it is stored in the gallbladder. Bile is…Continue

I've been vegetarian since 1987, and have been eating mostly fruit during the day for the past decade or more because I would get horrible low blood sugar crashes after eating grains. Fruit was the only thing that made me feel really good and didn't trigger hypoglycemia. I've been experimenting with 80/10/10 for about five years or more, but never followed for more than a week or two, mainly due to undereating and cooked food cravings.

I have been 100% LFRV since June 2011 and am constantly experiencing HIGH ENERGY, clear mind, happiness - all of the time, with no more blood sugar crashes! My emotional state is balanced and calm, I am much more present and in the moment, and able to concentrate while doing my spiritual practices.

Though I tried to follow this diet many times over the past five years, I would usually give in to cooked food cravings about a week or two later. This time, once I hit the three week mark, something shifted and it was like all the detox symptoms and cravings disappeared.

The difference in the way I feel on LFRV and the way I felt when eating cooked is tremendous. I used to suffer from severe hypoglycemia, fatigue, muscle weakness, headaches, depression, irritability, heart palpitations, gallbladder/liver pain. But all of these symptoms have disappeared simply by changing my diet.

The benefits so far (one month raw):

Sleeping soundly
High energy with NO "crashes" at all, no fatigue ever!
Happy
More social
Much more centered and grounded - in the moment
Spiritual practices are much more effective - feel connected
No more irritability, anger, and other intense emotional reactions
Increased self-esteem
Mentally balanced and peaceful

The most noticable difference by far is the consistent ENERGY! I can hardly believe it. It's like I didn't even know what true health was until now - like something was missing from my life for 42 years....and now that I've found it, I feel like shouting it from the rooftops! I used to get tired just from climbing stairs, and now, I want to RUN everywhere, it's remarkable! A miracle!

1 month LFRV & feeling FANTASTIC

Posted on July 5, 2011 at 12:56pm 9 Comments

After numerous failed attempts at going 100% LFRV, I am convinced that I finally reached the end of my battle with cooked food. After about week three, it was smooth sailing. No more detox, no more cravings - and most importantly, no more low blood sugar. My energy has been through the roof - I keep feeling like I'm dreaming, it is almost too good to be true! I cannot BELIEVE that all I had to do was change my diet to feel this good. It is SO SO worth it, folks! If anyone out there is…

Day 4 - High and happy!

Posted on July 30, 2010 at 10:00am 1 Comment

It seems almost miraculous how good I feel on this diet! My mood and energy levels have especially improved. For the first time in my life, I feel totally alive - the way I always should and could have felt, had I followed 80/10/10 from the very start. It's saddening how most of the human population is suffering and dying needlessly when they could be thriving physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually simply by changing the way they eat!

I experienced a strange,…

Day 3 - Feeling fantastic!

Posted on July 29, 2010 at 10:34am 0 Comments

I've noticed a radical difference in my energy level and mood since going 100% LFRV - it is blowing my mind how good I feel! I didn't have any hypoglycemic reactions either, so I think my problem with low blood sugar during the first two days was mainly a result of detoxing (getting all the fat/wheat/sugar out of my system). I've been prancing around, whistling and singing away - so much energy, and feeling so happy!

The only negative right now is others' reactions to my…

Day 2

Posted on July 28, 2010 at 9:35am 1 Comment

Day 2 was a success! I had two blood sugar crashes, but ate more bananas to bring it back up, and felt great the rest of the day. Plus, my mother said, "That looks like a nice salad!" this evening, instead of being critical about my dietary intake. I am feeling very encouraged and hopeful:)

9:30am 4 bananas, 4 cups spinach, 1 cup mango

12pm low blood sugar

12:30pm 3 bananas, 2 c spinach, 1/2 cup mango

2:45 low blood sugar

3pm 4 bananas (felt…

Hey Kira!

I'm looking to set up a fruit business of sorts for the summer and am looking to see if anyone would be interested.

I'm thinking of setting up weekly or bi-weekly boxes so that you would get a big box of fruit each week or every two weeks. This would give you more variety and a lot of options. Also, anyone who gets the weekly box will also be able to buy boxes of wholesale fruit through me if they want--for example a box of mamey sapote or a box of bananas. But the weekly box I send out will kind of be like a CSA thing-but will be catered to your own individual likes and dislikes and the content of the weekly set box will be flexible.

WHat do you tihnk? Please let me know as soon as you can!

Thanks!

Its great to have so many CT people here. We wanted to get a pot luck together before the summer was out. I hope it happens! Anyway, right now you can get bananas for 39 cents a pound at Aldi. They aren't organic and they are wrapped in plastic but if your in a money pinch theyll do. The cheapest ones I got were at a local independent grocery store that gave me ripe ones for 15 or 20 cents on the pound. One day I went in there and they actually had a "free bananas" sign for ripe ones. Who says this diet is expensive???
