Material made from Milk

My heart dropped when I saw this video.  I hope that this is something that doesn't get popular.A German inventor has created a way to make cloth for clothes from milk.  The process begins from whole milk which turns into sour milk.  Then it is processed into protein powder and is processed through an extrusion machine resulting in the production of a material that "has a cotton ball feeling" which can be turned into thread for making different types of cloth.  The inventor says she is waiting…See More

"Hi Dane I just had a fruit salad made of ripe papaya, dragon fruit and parsley.  It was sooooo good.  If you can't find dragon fruit, banana is a good substitute since it pairs very well with both parsley and papaya."

Wild black raspberries ... yum

Posted on June 15, 2012 at 5:53pm 0 Comments

I went on another long trek last Sunday.  I had only set out to run in quick to forage some blackberries but it looked like someone had already beat me to the punch since a lot of the large ripe ones were just out of reach.  I did manage to find  a few and I had previously thought there were only black mulberries but I found a white mulberry tree too and got some of those too.

My biggest find of the day was lots of black wild raspberries that were so good.  It was the first time I've…

Wow, my first blog post and it's all about my little trek on Saturday which was about 6 hours long.   It was a great day even though it was overcast, windy and it even rained a little bit at the end of the day.

When I go out to the nature trails here, I always see everyone speeding around on the paved pathways ... running, rollerblading, biking, little motorized bikes, etc.  I always think to myself that if they don't slow down to see the nature around them, they are missing…

Hi Kimber, thanks for the friendship:) I came from Nova Scotia, so I know what it's like being stuck in cold Canada. It is beautiful there at least.  If you ever want to come to Hawaii I'd be happy to show you around and point you towards the good durian;)

Blessings,

Mica
