I was an overweight and unhealthy young man while in high school. About 6 foot tall and weighing approximately 270 lbs. I began to make steps towards a healthier lifestyle and it lead me to protein powders and energy supplements. I thought I was doing everything right for a while, then I began to have massive stomach and digestive problems. I shed some weight during this time but was still not feeling alive. After finally cutting dairy I began to have some relief from these terrible stomach pains. Since then it's been a step by step process of cutting more food until I found a path that gave me the most every and kept me feeling amazing. I found the HCRV lifestyle in early 2012 and was so intrigued by the simplicity of the eating that I needed to try it out. I have struggled through this transitional process by eating some cooked meals every week while keeping my ratio at 80/10/10. As I write this on Jan 16, 2014 I am getting about 95% of my calories from raw fruits and vegetables during the week. I feel better than ever and weight about 185 lbs compared to the 270 lbs I was while in high school.

I currently work as an academic advisor for a College of Creative Arts but have recently been accepted to a Naturopathic Doctoral program in Original Medicine and will be pursuing a new career path and opening a practice in the future.

I do need support from the community in regards to the way I can approach family, coworkers, and anyone else I meet to explain and support my lifestyle choices. I've been reading on these boards for the past year and am anxious to become part of the community.
