Hello, I'm Jessica. I came from EDNOS and was very underweight about 3 years ago. I had my ED for about a year before I found rt4. I tried that out and gained a bunch of weight (much needed!) but then tried just eating more starches, and a bit more fats as I felt rt4 just put me in another diet prison. Since that I've started weight lifting but ignored cardio as it's winter here and gets to -40 and I hate those machines. However for a month now I've started again to do the bike indoors (I stopped for maybe 3 months - still weight lifting mind you - out of 9 months of constantly doing it). Now I'm doing both, biking and weight training. 4-6x a week weights and about 2.5-4 hours of biking a week + yoga almost daily. I'm in a plateau or rut, and I'm at a point where I haven't restricted in a very long time but I still have this little bit of extra weight I want off, mostly in my thighs and stomach. I'm by no means fat but I can see the extra fluff I carry, and while not much, I think it's about time it leaves. I'm very wary to not get back into a "diet prison" which can trigger some ED tendencies (which I've ben soo good at coping with/ignoring since recovery started, but I mean everyone has blips right?) so I'm trying to ease into eating more fruits again and having better food combining and a better mindset in general. I feel like while I might not be following exact RT4 I still am a high carb mostly whole foods vegan, so talking to other like minded people and maybe getting some help or insight can help me reach my goals better. I am studying plant based nutrition and am going to get my wholistic nutritionist certification, however in textbook a cookie cutter thing should work for everyone, in theory. But we don't live in theory. So I'm here, trying to figure out what the heck my body really wants to thrive.
