I've been interested in 811rv for several years(learned about it through the Vegsource forum). I had a lot of fears about 811rv, which I've spent almost a year working through purposefully. It was also only last year when I really understood about the emotional piece(as far as learning to handle them properly) and also the fitness piece. I've made so much progress on the other aspects of healthy living and the next level for me is to move from 9 years as a vegan to high raw vegan to 811rv amazingness. I'm 41 and am overweight and in the past struggled with binge eating disorder. Thankfully, binge eating has not been a part of my life for a long time.
For now, I'm up to 5 hours of vigorous exercise a week, get lots of sleep(9 hours or so), sunshine and fresh air. I want nothing less than a vibrant, athletic future. I've been reading and rereading all of Dr. Doug's stuff and watching all of DR and Freelee's videos. I live right outside of Raleigh, NC with my partner and 2 youngest kids. My partner is very supportive and is studying/considering 811rv. And even though he's not doing it now, he's behind my goals all the way(although he's a little concerned about going out to eat or *not* going out to eat, as the case may be!). He's a trim runner, eats a high raw, mostly vegan diet and looks forward to me running with him.
Spiritually, I resonate with the reclaiming tradition of paganism. The deep inner work inherent in my practice has been instrumental in bringing me to a much healthier emotional place. I am so excited!!!

My favourite books/movies/authors/pastimes are....
Harry Potter(thanks to my kids!)
Dr. Doug Graham
Dr. Joel Fuhrman
Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn
Dr. T. Colin Campbell
This is evolving!! I used to be a mystery, fiction junkie...but now I'm more interested in reading about health and fitness! I get antsy sitting too long. :-)
Moulin Rouge(what can I say? I'm a sucker for romance.)
(umm this music list could go on forever!)
and an absolute weakness for 1970's love songs that played on the radio when I was a kid.
I also homeschool my 2 kids...so that's my day to day joy/job. :-)
Learning to be athletic! I recently got a TRX for my birthday and I've been having a blast playing on it.
Learning about plants I can grow perennially that are edible!
Veganism, animal rights

Durianrider & Freelee started this site to bring together high carb, raw vegan and vegan lifestylists' across the Globe! 30bad is a high standard and high performance team! We're here to help you make our team! Let us know what high fruit assistance do you need?
I think for me, it's knowing the community is really 100% commited to a LFRV lifestyle. It's kind of like how even though my hubby isn't vegan, we keep a vegan household for me and the kids. It's our safe, supportive place. Knowing I can post here about challenges, and not get "you're eating too much fruit!" or "You're f'ing crazy!" as a response is important to me.
It reminds me of breastfeeding...when a woman has a breastfeeding challenge, it makes no sense to solve her breastfeeding problem by offering artificial feeding. You solve the problem within the paradigm you're working with. I want to solve any issues by working *within* the LFRV/athletic/healthy living paradigm.
Because I'm a newbie, I may get more support than I give at first. But my goal is to support other people on their journeys too. I'm excited to be moving towards a place where I can encourage and inspire others!!!
Plus, what can I say...I want to have a rockin' healthy bod in my 40's and beyond! So learning more from the athletes here is a top priority.
