CVS (a pharmacy and everything else type of store) will clear their shelves of tobacco products this year, by October 1. Even though they will take a hit in profits (like $2 billion), it's gotten to the point where "the regulatory issues and costs exceed the benefit (of selling tobacco)."
Some Target stores have given up on selling tobacco as well, because it's too difficult to police sales.

It's all over the news today, and in Crain's Chicago Business Magazine that McDonald's profits are suffering. Lots of talk about the middle class suffering, so they are no longer eating there.
And the upper classes are going to Panera, etc. for fast food.
