I've recently come back to London after going travelling for a year. I started in South America then headed to South east asia via Australia, it was the best thing I've ever done, and I practised HCRVism and have learnt how to do it properly, so now I'm back to HCRV, and am on the quest to regain my fitness.
Once I've finished my studies, I hope to move to Australia.. all tips welcome!

Goodness me! I wrote the above a long time ago! I'm 100%HCRV, I did regain my fitness AND SOME. I'm a personal trainer and nutrition coach - check my facebook page: facebook.com/rawesomeathletic. See you there!xx

www.back2fitkat.blogspot.co.uk   - my new (ish) blog where I'll be posting up progress of getting back to fitness using gymming, cycling, and a raw vegan diet. Having been travelling for so long without being able to exercise as much as I'd like, which followed a long stint of destructive eating patterns, the weight piled on and my fitness declined in the year I've been gone, enough to prevent some of my good friends from recognising me in the street. One friend whom I was meeting up with walked straight past me despite looking me in the face!

So I have a challenge.. to get back to fit! (minus the undereating/undercarbing silliness!)

Fruits in South America

Posted on March 14, 2012 at 3:30am 2 Comments

The day after arriving in Rio De Janiero, I went down to the fruit market and picked up one of these bad boys! The biggest papaya I've ever seen!  I couldn't believe my eyes so I tucked into this for dinner :)

Check out my photos from Rio. This proves how easy it is to be raw vegan here. If anyone can name every fruit here then i'd be very impressed coz I…

811.. a travellers tale!

I've just arrived in Buenos Aires, Argentina and immediately went out on the hunt for food. I asked the girl in the hostel where i could find the fruit market and was told there was only one, over an hour away in a very dodgy district of BA and that it was doubtful I'd find any Mangos. A little defeated (and extremely tired) I sauntered out of the hostel to the grocery shop across the road to pick up some bananas. What did I find? yep, mangos. I guess it really goes to show…

Hi Bananita! Really great to meet you and to make a new fruity friend :) Of course I can give you some advice on eating raw in italy - no problem! I'll reply to your thread if that's ok so that if anyone else has a similar query in the future they can then see my answer too. Take care and have a lovely day, Esperanza xxx

Hi Katie,

Thanks for taking the time to help me out.

Romford doesn't sound too far away. I have a unlimited Oyster card but I am working everyday for the next two weeks so getting the time to travel for fruit may be hard. I have just been buying from places like M&S, I am sure that it is probably really expensive but it is cheaper than most shops in Australia.

I am in love with the your strawberries over here, best I have ever had!!

Thanks again for taking the time.
