Well I keep on getting into trouble for eating too many bananas!

I came across this site when looking raw monodiets because I found a video by FreeLee. I found what she was saying really inspiring. I also came across videos by Kristina at Full Raw.

I did a 100% raw diet for four months from March 2011. I kept it up at high raw until early October. Around this time my year twelve exams were coming up and my mum was due with my little brother. This is when I decided (regrettably) to rebel against my raw food diet because I was convinced that I was gaining too much weight because of the lower amounts of energy needed to digest the food --- what an idiot (indeed I had gained 5kg for my happy weight since March)... when I rebelled I ate smaller vegetarian portions of whatever my family was having for dinner but I still had healthier choices ( I had lost over 18kg this way a year earlier... the regained 4 to a okay weight but with a "pooch belly" when our fruit trees produced fruit!).
Last November, after exams, I started running everyday, for at least 20 minutes and did strength type exercises everyday (which I would do anyway just not as often. I also started swimming again at least twice a week. After last Christmas I ate practically only fruits, vegetables (often cooked though), plain natural Greek yogurt (eek!), nuts and seeds and naturally dried fruit. I also started up kickboxing twice a week and put more time into exercising.

Despite my dismal efforts, my weight was skyrocketing through the entire time, to reach plus twelve kilograms up from the previous March by late February 2012.
At this time I came to my senses and was doing high raw and decided to return to a 100% raw food diet after a ten day holiday in Thailand for a wedding. Thailand is so good for fruit. Amazing!

I have been 100% raw since the eighth of March 2012, and am planning to stay this way for ever.
My big 'stuff up' area is eating too many {"properly"] raw nuts, so I am going to be really overly restrictive with them as I transition into a HCRV, which I am nearly done doing right now. I also try to monodiet when eating fruit.

I am the happiest I have been for ages and feel great.

I am so excited to share healthy, not commercial, raw foodism with people so they can feel amazing and change the world into a nature, healthy smart, unpolluted, clear-thinking, lush planet - from the inside out.

Hmmm.... Keeping a high carb intake (not reverting to nuts and seeds when we are running out of fruit before 'shop day'), weight loss(never lost weight by eating raw), Loosing my stomach "Pooch" (pooch belly).

So three cool things have happened recently:

First: We had two guests and I walked into the room, where my parents were telling them about my diet, saying how I mainly had fruit. First one of them said "Wow, so you must eat about three bananas a day!" (bahahahahaha, I said a minimum of five was a meal (I usually have six or seven)) next the same person said "So with all that fruit, where do you get your carbohydrates?" - never thought I would hear that one!

Second: I…

I'm 18.... i'm so glad more people in Adelaide are finding this site. it's going to make it so much easier and fun. I started early January but have been on and off. I have gone a couple weeks completley raw, but now it's getting harder cause of the cold weather! I hate it.... haha.... you probably feel that way too!

Hiya Elly, I'm from Adelaide :) I'm fairly new as well only about a month in. The best place for cheap bananas is generally the central markets and also check on Grote st across from the markets in Mariana market a fruit and asian grocery :) They have great specials. Go on Saturdays when they have to sell off lots of stock as they're closed on Sundays and Mondays :) They sometimes have cheap dates too but at the moment I'm searching all over the internet to see if i can order them in bulk. If I find a good price I'll send you the details. If there's anything I can help with just ask :)
