Had become a vegetarian earlier in college after watching a documentary that covered slaughterhouses and felt pretty good on it, but found it was straining on relationships so I stopped after a year or more.
In taking up more of a focus in singing I noticed having a hard time with congestion and thought it might be from dairy (love of ice cream) so I cut it out and saw that become less of a problem. After doing searches on vocal technique and health care for voice I got the idea of cutting out meat as well, thinking if I started juicing (emulsifying) I wouldn't have many or any problems with stuff on my vocal chords. That's exactly what I experienced.
After realizing I felt good doing juicing for half the day I still lacked energy I kept researching. Some how stumbled on to vegan videos like Harley and Freelees and found them very helpful, entertaining and informative. So before going more with a raw till 4pm as they teach I had been using a Nutribullet with green shakes daily for breakfast and lunch, for about a year going pescaterian (still having fish) vegan, then transitioned to fully vegan with their help. Was really impacted by them, others on YouTube and was especially impacted by the 80/10/10 Diet book.
Ever since going raw till 4 full vegan it's been incredible! I feel the best I've ever felt in my life! Have lots of energy, no real problems with congestion as far as interfering with singing, mental clarity, no more depression which I struggled with most of my life, along with chronic fatigue, both gone. Am starting to get more lean, cut and for the first time in my life seeing definition in my face. When I used to lift, do sports and martial arts I had muscle but it was always meaty (in bloated) not lean and cut, not it's a very defined 6 pack. An looking forward to getting more and more lean, cut and toned. It's really just getting better as I'm continuing and am hoping to start jogging when the weather gets better.
