Nashbar.com?

Hi all, I'm completely new to cycling. A friend of mine suggested I get a bike from Nashbar.com, but I see that they don't sell Giant/Trek/the big names. I'd love a Giant Avail or something similar. Has anyone bought a bike from Nashbar? I want to get a SICK, perfect bike for myself, but can't afford a $1,600 price tag just yet (and may not any time soon). Any help would be awesome, thanks!!!See More

After having been tested for Celiac and diagnosed with gastritis, esophagitis, and IBS, I am officially declaring that I have had ENOUGH! As if digestive issues weren't enough, a tendency to break out in INSTANT facial acne after eating just one bite of soy, sunflower seeds, or peanuts also graces my lucky self. I've always known that fruit works best for me, but family/societal/monetary pressure have held me back from taking the plunge. I came to the 30BaD community because I absolutely MUST get to the BOTTOM (pun intended) of my chronic constipation, acne, and moodiness!

Probably my most frightening RT4 day? Hyponatremia?

Posted on January 9, 2015 at 2:52pm 2 Comments

I've been feeling dizzy and spacey, as well as very weak, all day. This is something I feel often, and it usually helps a TINY bit when I salt my water (1/4-1/2 tsp per liter), but it's never enough to make me feel normal. I know this can't be detox, how could it be, at least? I had no ability to think today. Luckily, I'm unemployed, so I didn't have to work, but I felt like a complete brainless vegetable. No energy or coordination to go on a run, either. I couldn't stomach any more bananas…

What's the point if I stopped feeling good? (pics)

Posted on December 15, 2014 at 3:30pm 8 Comments

Beginning:

I started 80/10/10 Raw Till 4 a year ago. Ever since then, I have binged a handful of times on bags of tortilla chips, cans of salty beans, and other savory treats because I was SO stressed from work (vegetarian grocery store) late at night. I was feelin 10000% great during my first 5 months, especially during the times when I didn't rely on those fatty salty foods!

My weight stayed the same, I would estimate around 115-120 lbs. I'm 5'4". However,…

Jumbles and Mumbles of Doubt

Posted on November 18, 2013 at 8:59pm 2 Comments

As I lay here on the floor of my tiny Hawaiian apartment, I can't help but reflect on the doubts that have been keeping my mind company for the past few months. I wish I could say that I let my doubts be just that -- doubts -- but quite frankly, I feel as though I'm allowing them to manifest into reality.

Roadblock number 1: Is a raw vegan lifestyle for me?

Is it? The deepest part of me--my "heart of hearts"--feels it is, but external factors have such an enormous… Continue
