Women - your feedback please! How do I be the best possible boyfriend?

So... My girlfriend and I have had a very complex and quite challenging romantic journey together, breakups, other people involved etc.  We've been together for two years and much of that has been a long distance relationship (not recommended!). Finally I have realised how much I truly love her and want to be with her, and have taken the plunge and agreed to move to the other side of the country to start a new life living together.  I would be the first to admit that I haven't always been the…See More

Australian supermarkets consistently have 11 month old apples?

Last night in Australia, a fairly trashy show called Today Tonight (basically current affairs for rednecks)  had a headline story about getting a scientist to test a whole range of supermarket fruit across the country. The results were pretty frightening to me.   A lot of the produce  was OLD.   For example: "The oldest apple we found in Sydney was aged eleven and a half months, sourced from Coles. Woolworths had the freshest, at nine months, and independent Harris Farm – ten months."  (read…See More

Something I read about giant trees

One of my greatest dreams is to buy a piece of land near a lake I love.  Spend my spare time planting fruit trees everywhere, playing loud music and kayaking. The other day I started thinking how amazing it'd be to plant a giant tree.  Something that would inspire people hundreds of years from now. So I did some research into the top ten trees in the world and if any would grow at my…See More

Fruit has changed my life over the last year. I've lost heaps of weight, and feel better than I ever have in my life, mentally and physically.

I love fruit, all fruits, and they form 2/3 of my diet. I am not as strict as many on here and enjoy all kinds of cooked vegetarian foods for dinner most nights.

I am not a big fan of mono fruit intake and I like to mix things up. I'm blessed to have lots of choice and cheap fruit where I live, and it's not unusual for me to eat 10+ different types of fruit in one day.

I was always a bit shy about my fruit obsession and got teased for it, (thought I was the only one in the world :) so I'm very pleased to find this site and meet all the positive kind people here.
