I am on the spiritual path and enjoying the ride. I am so grateful for all the people that have come into my life to help me along the way. I hope to one day be that person for someone else.
I believe eating raw is part of that journey and I am still learning.

Don't like to label my raw lifestyle but I think I gravitate to lowfat. My favourite food at the moment are mango's

My favourite books/movies/authors/pastimes are....
I love to watch old movies...bit of a sucker for Dean Martin and Gerry Lewis...love the comedy.
My favourite book is "The Persian Blanket" a nice, easy, light read... a feel good book.
I also love reading health and spirutal books.

I came for a visit and got a really good vibe and energy. I have been transitioning to raw for 2 years I need help in clearing the connection or addictions to cooked foods so that they are not an option anymore.

No exercise today, day of rest.



Woke and had 700mls of water



Breakfast: 1/4 watermelon



Snack: 2 x kiwi fruits



Lunch 4 x banana and spinach smoothie



Snack 2 x oranges



Dinner: more watermelon and 1 x punnet of cherry tomatoes



Total water: 2 litres



Way under calories, but I am so busy at work I don't have time to eat...

Mentoring 101 - Day 3

Day 3



Woke and had two glasses of water before 30 minute run



Got back from run and had another 3 glasses of water.



Breakfast: 1/2 rockmelon smoothie



2nd breakfast (2 hours later)

4 x banana smoothie with 2 x celery sticks



Lunch:

4 x banana smoothie with spinach / water and ice



Dinner: mixed green salad, with garden peas and tomatoes

Mentoring 101 - Day 2

Well day two of my one month commitment to myself.



Rest day from running.



Drank 8oomls upon rising - had a lazy Sunday morning



Breakfast - 1 x rockmelon smoothie



Lunch - picked fruit salad I made for the kids - included strawberries, kiwi fruit, rockmelon and banana



Went to the movies with the kids - had an apple.



Came back from the movies had a banana.



Haven't been very hungry.

Mentoring 101 - Day 1

I have started a mentoring program with Freelea and am posting my commitment to my new life and new body here for the next 30 days. I have been high raw for the passed 3 years but have struggled many times but this last time has been the worst. In the last three months I have gone back to drinking coffee, eating cooked animal products and other processed foods. It has to work the other way around...you create the demand for food by exercising. You have to learn to eat enough food quickly, and you will achieve that by exercising :o) I dont design diets for people based on the fact that they wont exercise. I design diets based on the idea that they will be exercising, so i wont adjust the intake according to that. :o)

Yes I figured you would say that :o) To be honest, it will take time to get used to eating so much. My best advice, is exercise lots. Exercise before every meal if possible. It really increases your appetite! And its what we are designed for. In nature, we would always have to earn our food, by climbing trees, running about, finding the food. Smoothies are also a great way of getting you used to eating so much. I recommend mashing the fruit down before blending. Reduces oxidation, and it makes it already pretty liquid consistency. This way, you dont have to add extra water to the smoothie...just pure fruits. If youre gonna but veggies in, like celery or lettuce, blend the smoothie first, then add the veggies. This makes it easier for them to blend up.

I qwill write up something new for you tomorrow, since mango season is out. Will make it much easier :o)
