Welcome to the group. I'm alone in this lifestyle too where I live. It definatly helps to have support from like minded people. I must say that I'm jealous of where you live. I'm up in the Great Lake regon of the US and sure we get truckloads of local blue berries, peaches, and apples but nothing compares to fresh tropical fruits.
To get started. Be sure to note food, calorie, water, sleep recommendations and log (can use www.cronometer.com or similar) your food/drink intake, at least for the first few months to get used to what you need to eat to stay on target calorie wise as well as macronutrient (carbs:fat:protein) wise. Even if someone is a long time, established, raw vegan, it is possible to discover some things using "hard-data"; spot trends, be able to make good adjustments, that might not be possible otherwise.
