Hi, thanks for adding me to your friends! I notice we are similar ages, and I am a newbie to the diet as well. Was it you that was asking something about the menopause? If so, I do have some information.
Thanks for commenting. I'm not leaving the life. This is the life! @Sunluvva - Thanks Lovie. It was just a blip. I'm gonna make it. I love this diet. I have to find something to help me in the evening time. I think my blood sugar must get low. I don't find sweet things to eat, but chips and cheeses. When I had dates in hand I didn't get that craving. I have to find a way to get more dates.
Hey! Lovely to meet you too. Well it sounds to me like you are transitioning brilliantly. It is hard, I think, to get used to introducing fruits and veg in the volumes needed to banish those cooked food craving - I'm on day 9 of being totally raw and really only just getting the hang of it now! But well done, you've eliminated so much dairy/animal products. Be proud. It won't be long till that morning coffee is a just a distant memory I'm sure :) And I know - it must be hard living with traditional eaters - that's one thing I don't have to deal with...why did you decide to start transitioning, if you don't mind me asking? And also, I think it's brilliant that you're encouraging your foster child to eat so much healthier..not just providing her with the emotional needs she requires but also the nutrients. You sounds pre-tty amazing mrs!!! xxxxx
That's great that you have a juicer! I've gotten very used to mine :) During the healing phase it's best to lightly steam the veggies. Just until you can poke a fork through. Sweet potatoes and squash are recommended but, not white potato. The reason is that white potatoes are much harder to digest, and pretty constipating. We should give our weakened digestive systems a very light load as we heal. And remember that your not alone.
I did it without meds. You need not worry about anything! This method of healing is tried and true. We didn't get sick over night and it does take time to heal. Most likely you will be taking some time off in bed. I had the same concerns about work and money...I got over it and decided that my HEALING is the most important thing in my life, and that I will do whatever it takes. No excusses!! It's starting to pay off. If your not sure how to procede Dave will help you as he helped me. No worries Denise, all the answers are there for us.
Well Denise....today is your LUCKY day!!! You have come to the right place! Not so much the easy path, but it's the path that will heal your bowels. Welcome!! I have had diarreha for 2 and a half years. It didn't start out that bad...just soft stools and I didn't think much about it. It would come and go and I thought it was because I changed my diet to a high fat raw vegan diet. I also did a lot of internal cleansing just before all this happened.
I dropped about 60 lbs at that time. I weighed about 220 lbs when I started this healing path. This past january that's when I went down hill fast. Diarrhea all the time and started to have serious pain. Luckily I found Daves book in June and dove it completely. No more diarreha!!! It's amazing. I
And can I say enough about how awesome the information in Dave's book is!!!!!
