No, I never got to. I'm sure they would of been amazing to see. Do you like appleseed cast? They had a new cd come out today. I went to get it and it was sold out...but I'm listening to it on myspace right on...love it!
The loudest stuff I can probably listen to is He Is Legend, which most likely isn't loud to most people. Right now, I mostly listen to Sigur Ros, Appleseed Cast, and Grandaddy, definitely on the more mellow side right now.
I am yet to meet the like-minded beings here in Perth. We do have a raw food picnic going on here monthly and a raw food committee which I am a part of (its just in its beginnings...only 2 months in)
As I am still yet to meet these people in person, I have no idea where they all are raw-wise, but I look forward to seeing if there are any other 811ers :)
Yes, transition towns are the future! Though it would be great, we can't all get a big piece of land in serene nature. There would be none left :-(. The only way is to transition existing towns and cities. There aren't really any great sites I have found. There is this one http://www.transitiontowns.org/. But the transition town book is excellent. Sydney has a group. I am not sure if Melbourne does. You could start one!
I'm not sure if anyone told you how to post a youtube video, so if not ....when you go to the youtube video you'll see "embeded" in the upper right hand corner. You have to copy that code and then paste it where you want to post the video. It's easy, but if you have any questions let me know.
Boulering is a type of climbing where you do not use ropes. It is much shorter than the climbing with ROPES... but there is also usually "pads" on the ground to cushion a fall. The movements are often times much harder and there are often times many more angles on a boulder. It is the type of climbing that i do most. Much more powerful and very gymnastic.
hey! i have that yo la tengo album too! i love how different all the songs are from each other. sometimes they remind me of ben folds (five), others of broken social scene. my fave is 'the weakest part,' but of course i am always drawn to the most mellow cutesy song on the whole cd! i like that smog song you have too!
wow malaysia, that is so cool. so you lived there for 3 years? do you remember it at all? i have a keen interest in borneo, it looks amazing! someone even told me there were frugivorous tribes that live there, but don't quote me on that one. i need to go to get some of this durian everyone is always talking about. never tried it have you? maybe this thailand trip will have to be a must do!
how long ago were you in vancouver? what part did you go to? supposed to go to victoria in february, escape the snow for a bit!!
sweet, the bass is cool. my dad used to play, he also plays the guitar, so i just love anything acoustic.
ya and i know what you mean about this site, i feel so much more connected to the people here :)
It wasn't totally for me, I am a lot more practical and make things work than the pretty design side. I did leave of my own choice.
Thanks for the tip about 811, I have been experimenting but 811 seems to be where I come back to, though have struggled to get enough calories.
