30 Bananas a Day!

Dammitsomuch.


I have no idea why but I keep failing. Every day I get to the point where 1. I cant leave the bathroom and 2. I cant stomach the idea of another piece of fruit but I can eat a huge cooked vegan meal.

For right now until my digestion improves I am going to eat fruit for breakfast, lunch and right before dinner then eat a cooked vegan dinner. At least that way I can adjust to the digestion aspect. I don't know how long I will do this.

I am so frustrated with my self. I know I want to do this, I know that the stories I read and the pictures I see are validation that this lifestyle is right for me. I just cant get the fruit in. Meh.

I refuse to give up, I may be here a year from now posting about the same problems, but I am going to keep trying.

If you eat anything cooked, do NOT use salt, and do NOT use oil (or margarine, etc,). Do not make mixtures. Stick to basic whole foods. The best cooked food for me is chick peas. Not the canned, salted kind, but the bagged, dried type, boiled and mashed (not technically a "whole" food, but generally so. Try to have one meal of cooked only, and try eating it only at night. During the day, try to always eat only fruit (plus maybe greens/tomatoes, etc)... This might make it easier for you. ... Let me know your progress.

Thank you so much for you post. I know some people went raw this way, I just haven't seen many of them. That is so encouraging. I will post daily (hopefully) about what I eat so I have some record of my progression. Again, thank you.

Baran: I am constantly trying to find an exercise program. I am obese so many things are difficult...but that is an excuse. I have been playing around with kettlebells but I never stopped to think that my lack of exercise would effect my diet. It makes total sense that it would, I should just bite the bullet and find a program that works for me. Thank you.

Sarah, I think that's an excellent idea. Look at it this way, it's at least 2 times better than the average American is doing, and better than you might have been doing most of your life. So this way you'd have 2 down and one to go! I'd say that is beautiful progress if you can stay with that. What I did for a while was have fruit for breakfast, baby greens and tomatoes for lunch (sometimes with bell pepper or cucumber too) and a cooked vegan for evening meal. That was the only thing that eased me into it and I'm so glad I did it like that. Then I began adding entire raw days, etc. etc. and sometimes I still eat cooked food when I am stressed (trying to get over that). I understand how you feel and each of us is different in how we release into this lifestyle from the former prison of disinformation and cooked foods we've been subjected to over our lifetimes.
