The importance of listening to your own body

Our body is our home, our vessel, our spiritual seat. Each is unique and works in it’s own ways. While there are surely similarities, each body works differently, thus it is extremely important that you figure out how yours works best. 

Fuck off whatever anyone else tells you. Do what you feel and do what you want, because it is your life and it is your body and you are the one who lives within it, not them.

You feel like crap and don’t want to eat dinner? DONT EAT DINNER. 

You feel like taking a day off from exercising because your glycogen stores are depleted? TAKE THE DAY OFF.

There is so much information out there and so much of it is contradictory. The best thing to do is figure out what works for you and STICK WITH THAT. 100%. Don’t buy into anyone else’s crap. Everyone had issues they’re dealing with, but they’re not yours. You have your own, you deal with your own, you live out your own. 

Here’s what works well for me the past couple days. 

HUGE amount of datorade for breakfast

HUGE mango meal for lunch

dinner optional, usually fruit, sometimes salad. 

Run/Bike/Swim as much or as little as I want.

EASY. BAM. DONE. And it works for me. May not work for you. 

Listen to your body. Do what the fuck you want to do. Don’t take anyone’s crap.

Thank you for this, I've been feeling a bit down because I have felt like I needed to take a break from a bunch of things, certain types of exercise, certain types of foods, times of eating.  I needed friends more than ever, though I don't usually seek out lots of attention from friends, and I've always preferred my own company.  I just needed things done differently this last week I needed company, I needed avocado and I needed my last meal at 3 or 4 and I needed evening walks instead of my morning exercise routine.  Change in the routine is good for your soul.
