I did it! I went vegan today. No animal products today and from here on out. I intended to eat 100% raw, but I was craving something cooked. I told myself that I would be allowed carb-rich cooked foods to get me through this beginning, so I had brown rice. Plus, it really helped up my calories, but I still only made it to 2160. Of my calories, I had 85% carbs, 10% fat, and 5% protein! It is only that fatty because of the Larabar I ate. Between the rice and the bar, somehow I felt like I was eating my normal diet, except for all the fruit. However, I felt like I was eating ALL DAY LONG to get the calories in. I learned something though, I don't like banana smoothies or banana whip. I have tried and tried, but I can't handle it. I LOVE BANANAS, but they turn into bitterness when I blend them. I don't understand it. I guess I'll have to make smoothies without bananas (or just one to two) and eat bananas on their own, just as I've always enjoyed them.
