30 Bananas a Day!

Hi all,


I know that steamed = not raw, however I was wondering whether there was a HUGE issue with having a big bowl of steamed veggies every once in a while? (lets say once per month). I've been having occasional cravings for steamed veggies - particularly brussell sprouts, cauliflower and beetroot. I would consider having low fat steamed veggies preferable to high fat raw nuts/avocado etc.

Any opinions/experiences?

Anyone engage in the occasional steamed fest?

If you want best results on lfrv then being 100% compliant is highly recommended.

Personally last time I had steamed veggies which was over a year ago I had flu symptoms the next day. Because of this I eat raw exclusively (save for whatever nuts or dried fruit that may have been pasteurized/dehydrated at high temps etc.).

short term I actually think that eating high fat (for a day or two) would be preferable to consuming steamed veggies, I believe Dr. Doug has exhibited the same preference. in any case it's your choice what you eat, but the fact that you're craving steamed veggies which really aren't that appetizing suggests that you may need to consume more fruit calories and/or introduce more variety into your diet to cover all your nutrient requirements.
