30 Bananas a Day!

Hi any suggestions how to deal with relatives and friends who think you went crazy as raw dieter. I am on raw diet from last 1 month and people around me thinks I am crazy or some kind a nut. I feel so good though, sinus problem gone, start loosing weight, and no more insomnia but people just dont understand that, please share if you guys have same issue in the begining thanks

WELL i appreciate all of you guys opinion. I dont approach anyone to tell him about my diet but when you are not at dining table, they look at you like something wrong with you, anyway I really dont care anymore, I was on 2000mg Glucophage to control diabetese that is gone, which is miracle to me, because that medication damage your liver and doctor will never tell you that! This one month diet is no longer diet for me its now lifestyle for rest of the life.

I think we just have to realize that we live in a judgmental world and accept it. We all judge, and someone will always be judging what we do, no matter how we present ourselves. The important thing is that you know you feel great and you don't have to answer to anyone about your diet. Not only that, but sooner or later people will approach you and ask for dietary advice!

I tell as few people as possible. It's none of most people's business and I don't have the time/energy to explain again and again. So, I'm elusive and say 'I already ate' or "I just want a salad now' or "I just had a big green smoothie so I'm not hungry at all" etc.

For the ones that need to know more, I'm ok with them thinking I'm nuts. Nuts, but happy! Extreme, yes, but extremely healthy, extremely full of energy, extremely rested etc. Works for me! They thought I was nuts when I was vegan too so obviously I can't make them happy!

For my mom whom I love but she worries, I say "this is working for me, it's been researched, doctor-approved, I feel so much better (list symptoms that are gone) and Mom, I don't tell you what to eat, so I'd appreciate it if you don't tell me!"

So, I don't let their opinions/comments bother me but I have in the past eaten some cooked vegan foods sometimes when with relatives so I'm not perfect at it yet. I chose to eat cooked food because I wanted to, not because they pressured me.

All you can do is lead by example. So be the best example you can be, by rising up to true health and fitness. Giving them a copy of the 80-10-10 diet can help them understand too, but I have found most to not even bother reading it if they already think I'm crazy. I don't really care how crazy they think I am. I feel great, I'm fit, I'm healthy, I love the food I eat and it loves me back. They are the crazy ones.

Yes, my family/friends also think I'm insane for eating SO MANY bananas! "You're going to OD on Potassium!" Hahaha! I just say, "Well, I'm not sick yet, and at least it's better than the crap you all eat!" :p
