Yeah, you can definitely follow the menu in the book. As far as weight, as has been discussed here many times, that's really the last thing you should worry for now because that is a short-term issue and long-term will normalize as good health and fitness is practiced.

This is the best title I have ever read, lol.

Like FruitMonster said, eat a lot.  Most of the leaders on this website recommend eating at least 3000 calories per day, and you do that by measuring them, not guessing.  A good website to use to track calorie intake is cronometer.com.  At least keep track for a week or two so you can see how much are actually eating, because if you undereat you will not be able to stay raw.  You will go back to cooked food.  So make sure you eat enough (3000+ calories per day of mostly sweet fruits).

If you do this you'll also learn that the things you're eating don't contain many calories (i.e. greens and tomatoes).  Again, go for more calorically dense foods, like bananas, dates, mangoes, papayas, etc.

You will have to eat a LOT of volume at once, probably more than you are used to, and your modelling friends might thing you are a wacko but don't listen to them.  Just get a huge pile of fruit (ex. 10 bananas) and go to town.  Just try it and be consistent, and you'll see the positive results.

get a blender, start making green smoothies.  These are the easiest way to ensure you get enough calories.  Your most important foods at this time are bananas and dates, but lots of them and eat them voraciously.  Then start buying other fruits that sound tasty and supplement the rest of your diet with those.  Also, don't forget to eat enough greens (the smoothies are great for this!)
