30 Bananas a Day!

People aren't questioning if my diet is unhealthy anymore!

I've been eating a lfrv/Fruitarian diet since Jan. 2008
A lot of people from family, friends, training partners and etc think that I'm unhealthy or I'm 'soon' going to 'breakdown'.

Well I keep running faster, keep pushing new limits and so far so good...
I've run so many PR/PB from 10k to marathon's to ultra distances I can't keep count these days.

I ran a 2:30.59 marathon a week after running a 50mile race in 5 hours 50 minutes. On top of running 150 mile training weeks. I run 30 miles a day at times and only cut back on miles b/c I have to spend more time at work!

In the last 3 weeks I:
Won the Napa Valley Marathon in California in 2:31, then ran a 100 mile training week, then over the weekend ran a 1:10.56 1/2 marathon, then ran 160 mile training week, with a 65 mile day and finished the week off with a 2nd place finish in a NYC Central Park 15k in 50:29. 2nd place in a Central Park NYC race is pretty damn good - but I gotta win, I hate being the first loser ;)

I run 120-160 miles a week, race every weekend, I haven't run less than a marathon distance each week in training in so many months I can't remember. I win races to the point it's getting a little boring... seriously, can't some other people start eating a fruitarian diet so I can get some fair competition! ;)

Before my fruitarian diet I was injured all the time and never got through a season without getting sick too.

Now after a few years as a fruitarian all these naysayers are starting to eat more fruit - lol.

Next up for me...a bunch of big profile 100mile races. I guess I'll find out if this diet works at distances over 100k soon enough...

I'm blowin my own horn here just to give you guys some proof that this way of life/diet - ain't no joke! STICK WITH IT!

Forefoot strike or midfoot, or heal, it doesn't matter - what mater's is WHEN/WHERE you WEIGHT the LOAD on the foot. I went to school to be a PT and am still very up on all the studies of running etc. Elite runners or slow runners have no differences in foot striking differences. What researches see in elite runners is that they all WEIGHT/LOAD the foot when the foot is toe off. I happen to be a heal striker, but certainly weighting the foot as I toe off ;) ('Newton' shoes are a scam, don't believe the hype in any marketing at first!).
I haven't read Born to Run honestly, but I did get a pair of the 5 finger shoes as McDougall talks about I'm told, but I'm still a light weight regular racing flat kind of guy :)
