So blood test results have come up with zinc deficiency AGAIN. Haven't been deficient for 10 years or so.
I think my absorption sucks because of my previous bulimia. Probably means I need to eat more greens. I do like greens but have SUCH a tough time getting them in - it's hard enough getting enough fruity cals right now. My digestive system is probably still really whacked.
Got a liquid supplement to use in the short term - it also contains something that will boost my HCL apparently. I don't know if I believe it but I got it for $10 from a naturopath friend of mine.... worth a try.
Doc (mainstream) also said eat meat. *eyeroll* Then she said to eat more nuts, seeds, and take probiotics. Er.
Unfortunately it's a bit tough finding good quality organic greens right now... the ones at my local organic shop are pretty wilty. Unless I eat kale and silverbeet (which I don't really enjoy raw).
