So it is now day 13 of my challenge. I tell myself 30 days but honestly its just to get me through the cooked food cravings/withdrawls. I plan to go MUCH longer than 30 days but seriously if I hadn't set myself this target I would surely have caved by now. Like, I would literally be looking at my old comfort foods and the only thing stopping me from digging in was to repeat in my head "its only for 30 days, after that you can eat this food again." It feels so good to not cave in. And yes I am most probably undereating but tomorrow I am picking up a 5kg box of dates and a few more bags of navel oranges. When I get paid on Wednesday I'm going to stop by the central markets and buy up a few bunches of bananas then I should be set for another week.
So here are my thoughts over the past 13 days...
Wed 22 June: Day 1, 92.6kg
= 2750 cal
Thu 23 June: Day 2, 92.0
Ate 100%lfrv yesterday, drank lots of water. Feeling optimistic.

Need to drink more water.
No overts just fruit and green smoothies for now.

Chatted with Sam (husband) - this is THE talk about what I'm doing and how he needs to let me do it, he aired his concerns and thinks I'm a bit crazy to give up such "awesome food" but after that was somewhat tolerant about it.

Not constipated anymore. Feel great!

Feeling good. Went for a walk with Sam last night.
Mon 27 June: Day 6, -
Smoother skin, looser undies, wedding ring getting loose.

Underate yesterday. Cooked food nightmares!
Today is a sport-eating day!

Rough few days with cravings, however cooked foods becoming unappealing.

Thu 30 June: Day 9, 89.9
Under 90kg! Didn't eat much yesterday, had very little appetite so drank water instead.
Starting to tan a little but weather is supposed to cloud over and rain today.
Tough cravings tonight - made Sam's dinner - a nacho pizza. Made it through. Need more calories from fruits!
Fri 1 July: Day 10, -
Feel so good about myself for resisting that crap food last night.
I know I had undereaten fruit cals yesterday. Need more carbs and variety, getting bored.

Noticed dermatitis(?) on right ring finger has totally gone! Smooth and soft.
Same with dark circle on chest (doctor once told me it was fungal and to avoid sugar)

Sun 3 July: Day 12, -
Energy levels constant - no more ups and downs.
Easy to get to sleep. Loud party next door and went straight off; Sam couldn't sleep til the music stopped at 1am. He drinks too much caffeine!
Had lunch with whole family plus friends. Helped to make creamy pasta and dessert. There was also garlic bread, salad, brie, brownies and soft drinks to wash it down, LOL.
Honestly, it was still tempting, but I just had my fruit and socialised. Was asked a few questions, friendly and curious not threatening thankfully.
Mon 4 July: Day 13, 89.0
Today my total weight loss for the month is 5.6kg. (I started eating more fruit for a week before going 100%) but the total since I started the challenge 13 days ago is 3.6kg. Not bad!
To begin with I was heaps bored by the lack of fruits available and though I'm still longing for summer when bananas are cheap and mangoes and stone fruits are plentiful, I'm now getting used to just dates and oranges with a few bananas. It is much more simple and in a way not such a bad thing.
