30 Bananas a Day!

More lifestyle changes are wanting to follow...

... are wanting to follow the changes I've already made. Such as sobriety, extremely improved diet, and increased exercise.

I really don't believe in the traditional American lifestyle. As I'm sure most of you do not either. :)
This is what I see around me (some of which I'm guilty of):
- watching t.v. most of your free time, long internet use, avoidance of outdoors, esp during rough Northern winters, fast food/processed food, wasting, shopping unecessarly, driving daily/far distances, road rage, video game playing addiction, neglecting life, alcohol abuse, staying up late, cell phone use (saw that video. lol), buying food, never growing or picking it, advertising bombardments, chlorinated showers daily, inactivity, frequently sick, emotional eating and constant searching for a mood lift from chocolate, drugs, food, sex or other.

I want to live dramatically different. I see myself...
Sleeping outdoors
Not owning much, esp technology
Eating 100% fruit and greens raw
Growing some of my own food
Walking, biking to where I want to go
Living in a tropical, sunny, or at least year round warm place!
Exercising everyday, in nature
Spending quality time with loved ones and animals
Quiet, peaceful yoga practice
Sleeping to the earth's schedule
Spending my free time creatively using my hands
Bathing in rivers, or springs (ideally)

Very few of these seem realisitc right now. I'm not the most mentally stable, and dating/living with someone who is resistant to most of these things. He won't considering moving right now, and would never consider living so primally. I'm not willing to end the relationship over it.

I will get to a point where I can create this life some day, but I'm very tempted to just leap in and make it happen today. I have to hold back and be patient with taking small steps. its probably best that way anyway.

Sabrina. . . .

Great post!

I understand COMPLETELY. I could have written that exact list myself, plus adding a few more things. In fact, I have written quite a few lists and intentions.

And I am married to my husband of 24 years, who also is not interested in primal living. So I really get it.

But I am certain that if you stay on this path, the Universe will show you the way and make it easy for you. Opportunities you haven't even thought of will present themselves.

Writing down your intentions is VERY powerful. You'll see.

I think when YOU are healthy and ready, it will happen.
