So I just completed the Trinidad and Tobago Marathon today. Six hours 19 mins. This may sound like a terrible time to a normal marathon runner but given the fact that I really did not start marathon training until the last two months it was not a bad effort. Especially since my last long run practice took seven and a half hours. I will admit however that I did not do a raw diet today and stuck with vegan cliff packs for the race and cooked vegan foods after. (I did have loads of coconut water) However I did my best to stay 811 raw during most of my training for the last two months. I will probably have to pay the price of acne soon but am committed to getting back on track. Also my next fitness goals are a 2500 meter open water swim in September and a half marathon in October. I was wondering how long should I not exercise to recover from this marathon and what training should I do to make the swim in less than 1 hour and the half marathon in two hours. If there are any raw vegan athletes that are interested in visiting Trinidad and participating in a team for either event let me know.
