So due to me being pressed for cash nowadays, I've come to the realization of K.I.S.S (keeping it simple stupid) Because I don't have the money to buy all of this different food at the moment, I've just been eating bananas, several different greens like kale, iceberg, romaine, and potatoes(and if the price is right organic apples, peppers, celery, onions, tomatoes, and carrots) For the past few days it's just been bananas, celery, potatoes, and lettuce with a few of the other veggies mentioned and all I can say is that it's really an eye opener for me. I don't have to spend time making all these concoctions and can use my time for other things. I'm also keeping on budget and that's another plus because money is tight for me at the moment. I'm not bored yet with bananas, greens, and potatoes and it's teaching me to enjoy the simplicity of my diet at the moment because I'm buying different types of potatoes while also getting bananas from different stores. I can taste the differences between the different things i'm getting and that's kind of cool to me. Yesterday I purchased bananas from the farmers market(whose bananas I find taste the best but are too expensive for me) on sale due to being spotty and today I've already enjoyed 2 amazing banana smoothies from that purchase. If I want to add flavor to the potatoes I have a few herbs and seasoning to get them to my liking or I can add lemon/lime juice to them and have that with greens. I also enjoy putting baked potato chunks on a large bed of greens with a quick and simple dressing/sauce of whatever I have on hand. I call it "Potato Salad" :D All in all though, when I am no longer pressed for cash I will still probably be like this. Keeping things simple just seems so much easier and allows me to appreciate more. Is anyone else like this?
