I would stay vegan even if it brought me no health benefits. I would never ever contribute to the organised torture that is factory farming or kill another living being for my consumption. Pre-packaged animal products creates an unnatural distance which perverts our instincts, distorts our views and inhibits our ability for logical thinking.
The equation is quite simple:

This is not food:

I know... A comment I read by fruitbatanne really caught my attention: You don't salivate at the thought of a cow in a paddock, do you? I always ask meat eaters that.

I love this! I feel the same way. Even if someone could convince me that being vegan wasn't entirely healthy, I would still be vegan. Of course, I've found that it's the healthiest thing. Everyone around me catches all of the colds and stomach bugs going around. Not me! I haven't been sick once since going vegan. I'm with Windlord. I wanna smooch that cow! They're so beautiful!

Yup, I decided this about 20 years ago... that my 'ill health' was wasn't as bad as the death and torture of 1000's of animals. BUT I am SO grateful I actually never had to make that choice. It's kind of like nature's reward for thinking of beings other than yourself!

That's great to hear, Jasmin. It's so nice to see your enthusiasm and positivity for this lifestyle. :-)

Jasmin: Thankfully, none of us are in that situation, but if that were the scenario I second Zoe's great point: "If we did hypothetically have that type of body that is carnivorous we would be able to come up with a plant based simu-meat substitute that would keep us healthy without torture and abuse of any beings." :-)

Zoe: Yes! You make some great points here. :-)"The animals you eat will kill you from the grave." "Cholesterol - The animals' revenge." Quotes from the documentary "Eating".

Now you can't be vegan 'cause... Mineral levels in plants are depleted. LifeRegenerator lacks sense

LifeRegenerator appears on RawKristina's video and repeats what an anti-vegan told me days before... that mineral levels in plant foods have depleted by 85 percent
