30 Bananas a Day!

I ran 100km (62.2miles) FAST! - Just on ORANGES!

Yup, I ran 100km in 7 hours and 27 minutes - ONLY eating oranges/OJ juice.

That is an average per mile pace of 7:12.

Do you want to know what it feels like to run 60 miles, and then run
the last 2.2 miles at a pace of 6:30 per mile? How is that possible to
run for 7 1/2 hours with zero rest and still be able to run fast... the
answer: Fruitarianism

I just ran the USA Ultra running 100km National Championships in Madison Wisconsin today.

I did it on nothing but 40lbs of honey tangerines - mostly juiced. Pretty cool, and pretty optimal fuel if you ask me.

I should mention that I have also been running 160 miles a week in
training for the last 2 months, all while eating LFRV/Fruitarianism.
It's pretty amazing how I don't break down. I myself am kinda shocked.

I'm going to post a video blog on this race on youtube in the next few hours. so check it out, look at my youtube channel: marnstein

Hey, one very important - VERY IMPORTANT part of my success is: Sleep

Sleep is a huge part of staying healthy, so it's not just the oranges!

If I don't get 10 hours a night or more I can't run well at all, so folks get that sleep if you want to kick ass in athletics.

So here's to another 'proof' that a 100% low fat raw diet is kick ass amazing!

Next up 100mile test at the Western States race this June...I'm gonna go get some oranges!

For anyone who wants to know more about the race google 100km National Championships Madison Wisconsin

Here's me right before the start with my oranges - people thought I was nuts...

Here is me about 15minutes after the race with the race director:

Hey Mike,
When ever you step up to the start line expecting a result better then the the reality that turned up, is always a bummer.
S##t happens and as you noted you learned a few more things, you get over it and on to the next opportunity to have a better, percieved successful outcome.

Will be interested in see how you go maintaining fruitarianism as I understood it to be perceived, even by those who support 811 to be unsustainable.

Hey, Michael. . . . Way to go, fruit bro! You look so fresh. It's AMAZING what you can do. I am living on honey tangerines at the moment myself, so I feel ya there. But I'd be happy just to WALK 100 km. Ha!

You are inspiring a whole new generation of peeps. It's great the way you are freaking everybody out. We all love you and we're proud of you!!! ♥

That's an awesome result.
Wow that's under 4:29/km for 100km!
I can hold that pace for 10km-15km :)
Keep smashing down the barriers and displaying what is possible with true nourishment, sleep and consistent quality training under your belt.
You're putting on a class act Mike. Keep sharing your results.

Nice work AGAIN!

Was looking at the average lap times and that chikara dude went out too fast and paid the price. Do you reckon sitting at 7:00 pace for the entire distance would be a good stratedgy rather than racing the others and risking blowing up?
