30 Bananas a Day!

Ok, after doing super well with LFRV, I had this intense craving for pasta that stayed for days. so I had some. iwth a cream sauce, cheese, etc. I also started drinking a 'light' powdered tea. for 2 days I went from 80% raw/100% vegan to 20% raw/SAD. Holy Cow (no pun intended) I feel like crap.

 

My sinus issues came back hte sensitivity of my left ear came back with the itching. my lips dehydrated, burned around the edges, I got a fever blister where my lip split, my gums itch, my skin got a weird pebbly texture, my right eye seems really dry, my skin on my face got sensitive, my teeth feel ewird/hot. and I am really fidgety wiht my feet. 

 

Really goes to show how much LFRV had been helping me. I had not actually given much thought to how I was feeling better (as in this does not bother me, that does not bother me now) just that I felt great overall. 

 

I will be so much more conscious of this now, adn I can't believe I lived feeling this was for so much of my life. I have a strong belief it was the wheat I ate. I want to go get checked for celiac disease, and have my b12 and d levels checked as well. I will also start journaling too.

 

It's amazing how such a simple thing as food can affect how you live (or don't live) your life! 

 

I say this a lot, but maybe it's what i need to go through to really have it all drive home...Lesson Learned!!

 

On a great note however, my husband saw me suffer after changing my eating...he did not say a word to me when I asked him to get my dinner for  me last night! he gladly brought me a bundle of fresh fruit. he did not realize I had been suffering so much before till I had this setback.

I have been struggling a bit lately. We have been traveling, camping, amusement parks etc. Lots of summer family fun. Fortunately we are already long-time vegans, so at least there are no SAD temptations. But there have been french fries at Kennywood and last night there was vegan ice cream with NewmanO's and peanut butter mixed in, from Oh Yeah in East Liberty. Oh Yeah was more like Oh NO! That was about 7:30 last night, didn't eat again until this afternoon. It took 18 hours of fasting to get over that and feel like eating again. So far today is one quart carrot-apple-celery juice, three mangoes and four bananas. I feel so much better.

 

At least I am learning how to eat properly. Being clean most of the time and eating junk/comfort foods in isolated situations has taught me a lot about how my body reacts to them. I listen and it points me back in the right direction. I have dropped 25 pounds this summer and wasn't even trying to lose weight, completely cut out alcohol and coffee, cut out bread and all wheat except for the occasional pizza crust. I'm liking the fruity crew on here and enjoying the ride!
