Hello carb-crunchers,
I did my first 5K today. I enjoyed it and did a pretty good time compared to what I was thinking I was able to do.
You can see on the details that my pace of about 4 min/km was constant and I'm glad of that because I was not thinking of running so rapidly.
My position is 152 for 685 finishers (top 25%).
The best runner was exactly 5 minutes faster than me. That seems a lot but I don't have a lot of milage so, it can be easier than I think to gain speed.
With my stats from Garmin, do you think I managed the race the best I could or should I have done it differently?
Thanks for your feedback

Hi Windlord,
The race was entirely in the town center and we just ran along the river for a moment but in an urbanized area. But the same people organize another race in the mountain (3,7 km with altitude gain all the way => special uphill training needed) in June and around the bay in October (10 km pretty flat).
Anyway, I train along the bay or the beach every time so it was cool to change and the race being in the town center the last week-end before christmas, there were a lot a spectator.
Congrats, Nicolas. Way to represent!
While not an elite time, I'd say yours is quite respectable, especially considering you're not highly trained for it.
Bet that was a pretty run. Could you see the Bay?
That's awesome! Way to go!!! :D
