I've been reading a few blog posts about doing the 80 10 10 and how many calories you should consume, weight loss and all the rest of that stuff!

I personally haven't read the 80 10 10 book - but at the same time since I have been raw vegan I have never felt better. I suffered from an eating disorder for 9 years.. EDNOS with bulimic tendencies, it was messy and exercise and food consumed my life.. I'm currently about 8 months in to recovery! Up untill I found raw vegan - I struggled a lot with my relationship to food, I went back into extreme starvation, then I would binge, then I would be "normal" and eat "normally" - then I would exercise a hell of a lot because I had eaten "normally" and blah blah blah!

My experience with the raw vegan life style is now allowing me to build a healthy relationship with my food...I'm actually listening to my body and eat when I feel the need to eat whether that be 1 orange, 20 bananas or some celery and if I have a binge day - well what the hell it doesn't matter and thats the beauty of this lifestyle. I'm not too fussed on the 3000 calorie in take as I said I eat when I feel I need to! I also strongly believe this is a lifestyle change, not a "weight loss program". Consciously, if you relate to this as a diet your sub conscious mind will some what self sabourtage. I like to relate to this lifestyle change as a way of nuturing my body, not posioning it with processed foods and most importanly I kill no living beings with what I eat!

I'm intereted in reading the book in which I will but untill then I think the main thing to focus on is how your body feels, make a conscious effort to listen to what it wants, whether that be just fruit or greens or more of the high fatty raw foods like avocado.. Your body is a powerful thing it will tell you what it needs... Just eat right - don't restrict the calories, binge when you feel the need to, exercise when you feel you need to and your body will do what it feels is best, it might be weight gain, weight loss. WHATEVER it doesn't matter!!

this is great, so happy you are happy with this eating lifestyle and that you have overcome your previous eating problems.  i cant wait to get back on track, i never felt better! so happy you feel the same :D <3
