30 Bananas a Day!

Thank you to those who commented on my previous blog. It is so amazing to see others on the same path as I am, and I am excited to learn more and more every day about thriving on this lifestyle.

Sitting at my desk, I am munching on dinner - green leaf salad with cherry tomatoes, carrots, green bell peppers, zucchini, and a homemade dressing made with blended tomatoes, basil leaves, and half an avocado. It tastes divine, and I feel so wonderful and happy today! I could conquer the WORLD!!!.....or maybe just this bowl of deliciousness;-)

This is the issue I am facing right now. I feel so satiated its ridiculous, and I am not even hungry as I am eating this salad, but I, including this salad, I will have roughly 1400 calories today. I KNOW that is not enough, but I don't know if I can eat any more! I am so full after these fruit meals and at the end of the day I am not starving. I know that is good, but I need more calories to sustain this lifestyle. I got a suggestion from someone on this site named Chris, and he said to just slowly every meal stretch my tummy further, and slowly it will condition itself. Have you guys had that similar problem? How did you deal with it? Let me know.

Another issue is my parents are downstairs cooking dinner...halibut and cooked corn. I am so tempted to shove this computer in their face and make them watch the documentary "Earthlings"....that documentary that was extremely vital to my becoming vegan would definitely make them rethink their food choices. However, no one can force another to become vegan, although we wish we could!!!! I just hope my example by eating delicious fruits and vegetables in front of their faces will force them to make better health decisions. Actually, now that I think about it, my dad DID just make a switch to almond milk yesterday....hmmm, interesting:).

All we can do is lead by example and provide others with the knowledge to make their own informed decisions. Though I have a question for ya'll out there...when someone asks you about your diet, what are the most important things to tell them that will possibly hit home with them and make THEM try it out? Let me know!
