30 Bananas a Day!

I just recently came to the HCRV lifestyle and I'm in love with it already! I feel so good all the time, it's even affected my mood and my happiness! The only problem is, I eat 3 bananas and I'm full already. That sucks. Because I see an entire bushel of bananas and I want to gobble them all up! but today I FELT full after only three. I'm scared if I'm not getting enough calories in my diet every day that I will GAIN wait and lose all of my lean muscle mass. :( I need some serious advice. HOW can I train myself to eat large quantities of fruit and more specifically HOW MUCH fruit do I need to be consuming every day for breakfast, lunch, and dinner? If I were to eat grapefruit for one meal, how many should I eat and so on and so forth. Help me out??

Keep eating as much as you can, and over time, your tummy will get used to it and return to a normal size. To get in calories, dates have a lot for their small size, so those would really help. I'd also say eating often would be a good idea to get your body used to eating more.

Hey! I freeze my bananas and mix them with a little bit of water to make a "milkshake/icecream." I am in the same boat as you. I can only eat like four regular bananas, and then i never want to see another banana again lol! But if I put them in the food processor, I can eat 10 or more. I also eat dates too. I think you just have to get a little creative to get the calories in in the beginning! Over time, I'm sure we will adjust! :)

Sign up for a free account on cronometer.com in order to track your calorie intake. They have an extensive food database that will show you the calories and macronutrient ratios of fruits, vegetables, and other edibles. How many you would need to eat of a particular item depends entirely on it's size/weight, ripeness, etc. It can take a little time to stretch out your stomach capacity. One way to get in more calories while taking up less stomach volume is by eating more calorie-dense fruits (e.g. dates). Aim for 2500 calories a day minimum. You'll get there!
